MACOMB, IL - - The 糖心原创 Office of Student Engagement and the School of Agriculture are excited to host the eighth annual Family Day BBQ Competition & Tasting from 2-5 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 19, in Q Lot, bringing together students, families, alumni and community members for a day full of food, fun and Leatherneck pride.
Events at this year鈥檚 event will include:
Live music from Riplock
Family-friendly activities for all ages
Unique vendors
A sizzling BBQ showdown for the title of Best BBQ
A public tasting featuring brisket, ribs and each team's 鈥淧eople's Choice鈥� specialty items
The festivities will begin at 6 p.m. with the Leathernecks football game against Morehead State University at Hanson Field.
"The Family Day BBQ is an amazing traditional event at 糖心原创" Nick Katz, director of Student Engagement said. "It's an opportunity for our campus community, families, and the Macomb community to come together and celebrate Western.鈥�
